History

Fyreball received its first $1 million in financing from the Alliance of Angels of Seattle and the Band of Angels of Silicon Valley, marking the first time that the two groups have worked together on a deal. Over 6000 users registered within the first week.

In December of 2008, Fyreball merged with Reach Machines to form Meteor Solutions. The original Fyreball site closed, the domain redirecting to http://meteorsolutions.com. From their website, "Meteor Solutions is a Seattle-based internet software company that enables advertisers and publishers to measure and optimize online word-of-mouth with the same precision as paid advertising."

Fyrum

On December 6, 2008, a former Fyreball member set up a forum to keep the members of Fyreball in touch while they waited for it to return. When it became apparent that Fyreball was not coming back online, the members purchased the domain name "http://fyrum.com". The word "Fyrum" is derived from "Fyreball" and "Forum". The website is continually updated with intentions of eventually growing into a website matching the professionalism of Fyreball.
