fryrender is the physically based light simulator developed by RandomControl. It is a photo-realistic render engine where all the elements involved in the generation of the final image (materials, lights and cameras) are based on physically accurate models.

Additional components

fryrender standalone is a general purpose rendering tool with a visual UI, however it has several additional tools such as:

• fryeditor - A standalone physically correct material creation application
• frycmd - A command line version of fryrender standalone

Integration with 3D modelers

fryrender acts as a render manager which is fed the input scene by a plugin hosted in the modelling software. The 8 modelling apps listed below are supported. These plugins and their upgrades can be downloaded free of charge from the website of the editor and work with the demo of the software:

Network Rendering

fryrender network rendering is handled by a separate application called NetWarrior. It's a network rendering manager with support for queued jobs, visualization of slave machine's progress etc. NetWarrior is free of charge and can be downloaded on the website of the editor.
