June 1, 2007

Fruitland and two neighboring cities, were struck by an EF-2/EF-3 Tornado on Friday, June 1, 2007. Fruitland City Hall and the Fruitland Post Office were destroyed. Injuries were reported with this storm; however, nobody died from the twister. Postal operations are currently being taken care of by Muscatine, Iowa
