). These two feeder schools are nearly 20 miles apart, and are significantly different. Fruita is known as a small farming community, while the Redlands is a larger, more urbanized area. These differences create a diversity at Fruita Monument that is unique to other schools in the region. Recently an 8th and 9th grade school known as the Fruita 8/9 School was built to handle the growing number of students from the Redlands and Fruita.
