Friary Court is where the new sovereign appears before her subjects for the first time after her accession to the throne. It is located in London, England near Buckingham Palace, and St. James's Palace

The Proclamation Gallery is located above Friary Court within St. James Palace and is the location in which the Accession Council meets after the death of a reigning monarch in order to determine the new monarch and take their oath.

Once the monarch has accesended the throne the monarch makes her way to Friary Court to address her subjects and be seen as the monarch for the first time.
