Freddy Wexler is an American singer, songwriter, and producer.
The response to Freddy's music was so positive that he moved to Dallas to became a guest host on "Kidd Kraddick in the Morning," the largest syndicated music morning show in America. Based out of Texas, and stretching across 75 cities across the country, Freddy became a poster-child for independent pop music, performing on major television morning shows and sharing the stage with such acts as Maroon 5, Good Charlotte, Paramore, Katy Perry, Forever the Sickest Kids, The New Temptations, Gym Class Heroes, Simple Plan, Ryan Cabrera, and Colbie Caillat.
Independently, Freddy's music achieved great success; his song "Defying Gravity" peaked and stayed at Number One on Satellite Radio, while “Closer to Heaven” peaked at #27 on terrestrial.
Freddy moved back to New York City and founded The Brain LLC—a cross-platform production company with locations in New York, Los Angeles, and Stockholm. In addition to commercial music placements and new artist development, The Brain also boasts a boutique Los Angeles-based management division that represents up-and-coming recording artists such as Matthew Johnson (Disney's Next Big Thing finalist) and Rachel Platten (Rock Ridge Music), as well as a handful of established models.
In August 2010, Freddy signed a recording contract with Roxy Recordings, a Swedish record label. In September, the label released a teaser single, “Where There is Love (I'll Be There),” which became the #1 played YouTube video in Sweden, Russia, France, Argentina, and South Africa. The single, which contains an interpolation of “I'll Be There” by The Jackson 5, is currently available exclusively in Sweden through Universal Music. Freddy's first official single, “Animals,” is set for release in March 2011. The album contains guest appearances by members of Maroon 5, Good Charlotte, Goldfinger, Chester French, and Buckcherry. It is currently in production in Stockholm and New York City with producers Anders Hansen and The Numb3rs (production team consisting of Freddy Wexler and Eric Wortham).

2004-2006: Career Beginnings
Freddy started a career in the record business as the youngest Sony Music intern and pursued his own songwriting efforts on the side. In 2004, Freddy was accepted to the University of Pennsylvania where he quickly recorded his own music demo. In 2006, he discovered fellow New York City songwriter, Stefani Germonatta (aka Lady Gaga) who hired him to produce her original demos. According to sources, Freddy presented Stefani to his bosses as “the next Madonna” but was met with overwhelming resistance. Still, the two developed an incredible friendship and music that garnered highly lucrative contracts for each of them. Freddy's singing and writing allegedly earned him one of the largest record deals in 2006.2006-2007: Record Deal
Shortly after inking a deal with Virgin Records under the artist name “Freddy,” Freddy took a leave of absence from school and moved to Los Angeles to work on his debut album. Just months into the recording process, however, Virgin and Capitol Records merged, resulting in a spending freeze for all new artists. Freddy bought back the rights to his music and resolved to focus on his career as a writer.2007-2008: Collaborations
Freddy's first cut was a single for singer Marion Raven (of Norwegian pop duo M2M) which he coproduced with Nikki Six of Mötley Crüe. After inking a major publishing deal with EMI Music Publishing, Freddy began working with countless producers and mixers, including Matt Wallace (Maroon 5, Faith No More, Train), Matt Squire (Boys Like Girls, Panic at the Disco), John Feldmann (The Used, Story of the Year, Atreyu, Ashlee Simpson), the Wizardz of Oz (Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears), Russ Dessalvo (Celine Dion, Marc Anthony), Shep Goodman (Vitamin C, Marcy Playground, LFO), Jimmy Harry (Kelly Clarkson, Pink), Tim Palmer (U2, Goo Goo Dolls, Duran Duran), Serban Ghenea (Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Katy Perry), Tom Lord-Alge (Fall Out Boy, Oasis, Rolling Stones), Chris Lord-Alge (Black Eyed Peas, Green Day, All American Rejects), Ron Saint Germaine (Michael Jackson, Creed, Bad Brains), and Tony Maserati (Beyonce, Notorious B.I.G., Jason Mraz). During this time, Freddy also wrote the promo-theme songs for "Dancing with the Stars" and "The Bachelorette.”2008-2009: Kidd Kraddick in the Morning
In 2008, Freddy returned to college. Within his first month back, he was awoken by an ON-AIR phone call from celebrity morning show host Kidd Kraddick (whose show boasts the largest drive-time audience in America). Kraddick proposed a challenge—to drive from Philadelphia to Texas, playing shows along the way. 2009-Present: The Brain and Debut Album
In 2010, fulfilling a long time promise to his father and mentor, Freddy returned to Philadelphia and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. For his final project, he teamed up with an all-star cast of hit-songwriters and began his first rock musical: The Intern.Freddy moved back to New York City and founded The Brain LLC—a cross-platform production company with locations in New York, Los Angeles, and Stockholm. 2011: Current Projects
Wexler is currently finishing his debut album. Recently, he cowrote the song "Novacain" on Lil Wayne's Carter IV which features Kevin Rudolf. He has upcoming releases for Nas, Enrique, Lil Wayne, Javier Colon, Shakira, and Jesse McCartney.
