The Foreign Service Academy (FSA) in Islamabad

, is the training arm of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Pakistan
. Since its establishment in September, 1981, the Academy has organized 29 courses of Foreign Service of Pakistan out of which 14 courses included junior Foreign Service officers from other countries. In addition, the Academy also arranged during the same period 20 special courses for Mid-Career foreign diplomats, 18 for junior deplomats from CAR, SAARC, African and other countries, special courses for Afghan diplomats, Iraqi diplomats and for FSP Mid-Career officers.

Mission statement
The foreign service academy aims to prepare diplomats for a lifetime career in the foreign service. Its high quality diplomatic training through its expert faculty, modern training methods and relevant curricula, includes inter-active classroom lectures, intensive modules conducted in inter-disciplinary academic and professional fields and simulations for skill development.
