Each competition has 8 teams divided in two groups. In each group, each team plays against all others once and the two best advance to the semifinals. The two latter in each group play in fifth to eighth classification matches. The women's competition starts on July 15 with the final scheduled for July 24. The men's competition begins on July 16, with the finals on July 25.
