seat. The rest of the new constituency had been part of the Heston and Isleworth
seat.
In the redistribution which took effect in 1974, the seat was abolished. There had been changes in local government arrangements since 1955. The area became part of the new Feltham and Heston constituency, which also included Heston
and part of Hounslow
to the east of the old constituency.
