. It consists of seven members elected at large by the citizens of Federal Way. Each member's term is two years, with no limits on the number of terms a member may serve.

City council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall 33325 8th Ave S Federal Way, WA 98003. The agenda and Council packets are available online and at City Hall on the Friday prior to the upcoming meeting.
