Federal Council for Protection of the Constitutional Order (Yugoslavia)

Federal Coucil for Protection of the Constitutional Order was an agency of the Presidency of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in charge of controlling all public and secret internal security institutions of the country. It was created in 1975, according to Article 331 of the Yugoslav Constitution
, and ceased to exist when the country fell apart in 1991-1992.
The council had eight members. Three were appointed directly by the Presidency, usually out of its own members, and the rest were members ex officio as follows: Yugoslav prime minister, ministers of interior, national defense and foreign affairs, and a representative of the Presidium of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia
. The first chairman of the council was Vladimir Bakarić
who stayed at the position till 1982. After him, the council was chaired by Lazar Koliševski
