Route description

FM 1378 begins at an intersection with SH 5 south of McKinney, southeastward approximately 14.0 miles via Forest Grove and Lucas to FM 544 west of Wylie. (Collin County) New description; section from FM 3412 southward approx. 0.6 mile to present southern terminus transferred from FM 544. Was changed to UR 1378 in 1995 by Texas Department of Transportation. Section of FM 1378 between FM 544 to FM 2514 currently being widened to urban multilane highway.
