The Fangshan Line of the Beijing Subway
is a subway
line in western Beijing
. The line runs north and east from Suzhuang Dajie in Fangshan District
to Guogongzhuang in Fengtai District
, where it will connect with the southern terminus of Line 9
, currently under construction. The Fangshan Line is 24.7 km in length with 11 stations (9 surface; 2 underground).
Construction was originally set to begin in 2012 but was moved up to April 1, 2009. The line opened on December 30, 2010, but will remain unconnected to the rest of the subway network until Line 9 is completed by the end of 2011.
