Cheema later on switched to the newly launched Pakistani station, FM 103, where he was as of 2008.
Cheema has also been engaged in providing voice-overs for radio and TV ads, but has not been able to manage appearances on television due to his research activities.

Education
Cheema graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad in 2001. Cheema conducted his research for M.Phil on Molecular Genetics at the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology, University of the Punjab, where he focused on hereditary hearing impairment in the Sindhi population. In 2008, he was researching for his PhD in forensic DNA typing.Media career
