Football was being played in Sremčica from before the Second World War, but the first football club was only organized in 1957, and named FK Sremčica. It competed in lower leagues, regional Belgrade leagues, and had its greatest success by the end of 20th century when it was promoted to Serbian League Belgrade

. Recently, the club merged with FK Lasta, and the club was renamed into FK Sremčica-Lasta, but popularly begin being called Lasta giving way to its current name.
