History

n league. In 1993, FK Chmel Blšany (or Chmelaři as called by their fans) made the 2nd league and in 1998 the first. In the season 1998–99, FK Blšany astonished the Czech Republic and made 6th place. In 2005–06, the team ended up last and was relegated to the second league. In 2006–07

. They finished last in the ČFL with just four wins in the 2007–08 season and were subsequently relegated for the third time in as many seasons. It didn't get better in 2008–09 when, upon finishing 14th of 16 teams in Divize B of the Czech Fourth Division, they were relegated for the fourth time in a row. In 2009–10 they finished third in the fifth-tier Ústí Region championship and avoided relegation for the first time since the 2004–05 season. At the end of the 2010–11 season, Blšany gained promotion back to the Czech Fourth Division.
