. Excel High School(2A) provides education for children throughout Monroe county. The Town of Excel is made up of the Excel Supermarket(IGA), Dollar General, a "do-it-yourself" car wash, a laundramat, hardware store, and a locally-run diner make up Excel's downtown. There is one bank.
