 professional tennis player. On November 21, 2011, she reached her highest WTA singles ranking of 301. She is currently playing on the Junior Circuit and on the ITF Circuit.

Early life

She has a younger brother, William, a sister, Charlotte, and a non-identical twin sister, Beatrice, and her parents are Julie and Mike. Eugénie started playing tennis at age 5 and she is a member of Tennis Canada's National Training Centre in Montreal

2005

She participated at the tournament Open Super 12 in Auray, France.

2008–2010

She captured the ITF singles and doubles titles in Costa Rica and also the All Canadian ITF singles title in Burlington in 2008. In 2009 and at only 15, she won the Canadian under-18 indoor championship in Toronto. At this event, Eugénie overpowered fellow Quebecker Marianne Jodoin 6–4, 7–5 to become, at 15 years and a month, one of the youngest winners of the indoor event. She won her first professional main draw match at Caserta, Italy, defeating No. 798 Frederica Grazioso, 6–4 7–6(9). Also in 2009, she won the Pan American Closed ITF Championships, one of her biggest wins to date in juniors.
