Neighborhoods

The original Estrella master planned community was established in 1989, and is home to nearly 10,000 residents. Montecito is Estrella's newest neighborhood, established in 2007, and encompasses 1400 acres (5.7 km²), centering around 300 acres (1.2 km²) of open space. The Mountain Ranch neighborhood includes the Westar Elementary School and the Estrella golf course.

New Home Builders

In 2007, David Weekley Homes opened the Serenity community in the Montecito Neighborhood. In 2008, William Ryan Homes opened the Greenspointe community in the Mountain Ranch neighborhood.
