Commercial area

The Government owned vegetable market called Rythu bazaar

 is located here providing vegetables at reasonable rates.

The area also has a good concentration of Muslims, and many miscellaneous stores setup by them. Timber and asbestos businesses are also located here. The Gokul movie theatre, a famous landmark which was constructed in the 80s keeps the public entertained. The Sunday market at Erragadda crossroads is well known for lots of seconds/miscellaneous stuff.
Medical institutions such as the St.Theresa's hospital, and government institutions such as the Hospital for Mental Health, TB and Chest hopital are located here.

Transport

Erragadda is well connected by APSRTC buses to all parts of the city. But roads are narrow at junctions as well as lack of proper traffic control causes traffic jams at peak hours.
