The Central Bus Terminus, is the main bus station complex in the City of Erode

. It is located near the Swastik Circle at the junction of Sathy Road and Mettur Road. It is sometimes called by the location as Swastik Bus Stand by the local people.

Operations
The station complex handles both Intra-City and Inter-City transport as well as the Inter-State transportion. This bus station provides connectivity to almost all parts of the State. One side of the bus station is used for intra-city buses while the other side is used by out-station buses operated by various state road transport corporations, including Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation.Mofussil Bus Terminal
The Central Bus Station Complex is 50% occupied by the outstation mofussil buses. The mofussil Terminal in the complex operates with 6 platforms and about 20 bus bays in each.City Bus Terminal
The other 50% of the complex is covered by the intra-city buses, which includes the city buses. The local, town and city buses are being operated from this terminal, located in the East side of this complex, with 5 dedicated platforms.Mini-Bus Terminal
Apart from the Mofussil and city buses, there are also a lot of Mini-buses operated for connecting the interior and remote parts of the city. This terminal is operated in the South-eastern side of the complex with 2 dedicated platforms, in an elevated level.Burden in bus handling

Modernisation of the Complex
The Bus station is being modernised with a new complex including Railway Reservation Counter, Corporation Extension Counter and ATMs. Also a Passenger Waiting Hall, an RO Plant and a separate station for mini-buses being constructed in the Central Bus Terminal Complex. And the platforms and bays are being developed.Expansion of Facilities
An underground parking facility is being constructed for Two-wheelers and a Multi-level shopping complex is being developed along with additional Public convenience facilities inside the Central Bus Terminal Complex.
