He was born in 1890 and educated at Bradfield School
and University College, Oxford
.
Ordained in 1914 he was later Priest in charge
at St John's, Knighsbridge , Vicar
of St Nicholas Chiswick
and then of St Paul’s, Knightsbridge
before being appointed Suffragan Bishop of Shrewsbury
in 1940. Four years later he was appointed Dean of Windsor
. A man committed to the worldwide church who “took the very greatest and most conscientious of pains”,he died on 21 May 1962.
