Eradi is a Samanthan Nair clan of Kshatriya
origin, coming from the Indian state of Kerala
. The word is derived from the place name Eranad in Kerala
. The "Samoothiri" (Zamorin) comes from this Eradi subcaste, now assimilated to Nair
