The Energy Efficiency Center is a research center on the Oregon State University
campus that looks to promote renewable energies and energy efficiency in the industrial, agricultural and commercial sectors. The Energy Efficiency Center (EEC) is an expansion of the DoE
’s Industrial Assessment Center
program . The IAC program consists of 26 centers located at universities around the United States.
In operation since 1986, the center has gained extensive experience in the industrial sector through the Department of Energy’s Industrial Assessment Center program. In the past few years, the EEC has grown to include the agricultural and commercial sectors, areas that have recently seen significant growth in energy service needs .
In addition, the center is the developing a centralized Energy Efficiency Reference. The goal of this project is to bring together a breadth of information about energy efficiency for open, public use

Projects
Recently, the EEC has been awarded several large grants to promote energy efficiency in the Pacific Northwest. The USDA awarded the center $100,000 to perform over 90 audits.In addition, the center is the developing a centralized Energy Efficiency Reference. The goal of this project is to bring together a breadth of information about energy efficiency for open, public use
