EnStratus

enStratus is a cloud infrastructure management platform from enStratus Networks LLC that addresses the governance issues associated with deploying systems in public, private, and hybrid clouds. The company was formed in 2008 as a spin-off out of Valtira and has its headquarters in Minneapolis, MN and offices in Auckland, NZ. The enStratus tagline is "governance for the cloud". The company defines cloud governance to mean:
  • Security controls, including user management, encryption, and key management
  • Financial controls, including cloud cost tracking, budgets, chargebacks, and multi-currency support
  • Audit controls and reporting
  • Monitoring and alerting
  • Automation, including auto-scaling, cloud bursting, backup management, and change management
  • Unified cross-cloud management


enStratus supports both SaaS and on-premise deployment models and manages multi-cloud infrastructures, including combinations of public and private clouds.
