Career
A senior official in Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai’s Movement for Democratic Change party, Mangoma was the party's founding member in 1999. He was one of the country's first few black Chartered Accountants. Before launching his political career, he established himself as an astitute manager with a lot of companies including Deloitte& Touche and Delta Corporation.Arrest
On March 10, 2011 Mangoma was arrested on charges of corruption, which party leader Tsvangirai concluded were politically-motivated. The arrest was said to be in connection with a fuel deal Mangoma made in December with a little-known South African company.However it is widely felt that the arrest was a farce and another intimidation ploy from the Mugabe regime.
