Element Mobile is a startup CDMA-Based cellular service provider headquartered in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, that launched in January 2011. Element Mobile is the re-branded effort by the Partnership that manages Wisconsin RSA #7, formerly marketed as Alltel
in Central Wisconsin.
The company claims about 5% of Element customers are having problems. Kowalke states Element will "ultimately make things right". Angry customers have created a Facebook group to discuss methods of resolving the issues with the company and their phones. The group had over 2,100 members within days of its formation. As of February 5, many customers are still experiencing problems with their reception, text messaging, and Internet, and the Facebook group has grown to over 3,400 members.

Network
Element Mobile is a carrier using CDMA technology providing regional distribution. Voice services will be offered through the existing technology, with new High-speed wireless services offered initially through CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev. A with equipment being provided by Ericsson. with future speed enhancements being provided by LTE technology. Backend technologies are being provided by Interop Technologies.Opening
Element Mobile went live for previous Alltel Customers on January 8, 2011. The company has struggled with providing cell phone service, text messaging, internet, and email, and has had difficulty providing customer support during its first month of service. Some customers have been without cell service for several days. "We have successfully completed the network upgrade this weekend," said Dan Kowalke, director of marketing for Element. "Some customers are experiencing challenges with that network upgrade that we are working diligently to address."
