Electro-Acoustic Research (EAR) is a small consortium of synthesizer
related manufacturers founded in 2005 in Southern California. Founded by Peter Grenader
and Mike Brown, EAR's initial charter was the manufacturing of Plan B Synthesizers and Livewire Synthesizers. In 2006 Mike Brown and Livewire Synthesizers left the consortium, which has now grown to include Synthbox, a manufacturer of synthesizer cases made by Sean Price in Valencia,CA.
