Electoral (Amendment) Act 1990

The Electoral Act 1990 (No. 36/1990) is a law of the Republic of Ireland
which provided for parliamentary constituencies in the 27th Dáil Éireann
. The 27th Dáil was elected at the 1992 general election
on 25 November 1992 and was dissolved on 6 June 1997.
This Act replaced the Electoral (Amendment) Act 1983
(No. 36/1983), which defined the constituencies used for the 25th Dáil (1987–1989) and the 26th Dáil Dáil (1989–1992). It was itself replaced by the Electoral (Amendment) Act 1995
(No. 21/1995), which created a new pattern of constituencies for the 28th Dáil (elected in 1997
).
