The Eleanor Roosevelt Legacy Committee (Eleanor's Legacy) inspires and supports pro-choice Democratic women to run for local and state offices in New York State. Eleanor's Legacy sponsors campaign training schools, links candidates with volunteers and experts, collaborates with like-minded organizations and provides vital campaign grants to endorsed candidates.

History:
The Hon. Judith Hope founded Eleanor's Legacy in 2001 and served as its president until April 2008. Since 2001, Eleanor's Legacy has elected more than 285 women to state and local office and equipped over 900 women with the skills necessary to run for office and manage campaigns. Cathy Lasry served as Eleanor's Legacy second president, from April 2008 until March 2010. Nora Bredes was elected president April 8, 2010.
