Professional wrestling career

El Ligero has been a professional wrestler since 2001. He has wrestled in the United States, Italy, Switzerland, France, Netherlands, Spain, Belgium and many times in the UK, for over 100 different wrestling companies. He has also worked as a referee for Revolution British Wrestling, a ring announcer for Real Deal Wrestling, as well as a commentator for several other promotions in 2008 when he was out of action for nine months due to a serious shoulder injury.

On May 27, 2011, El Ligero beat Martin Kirby to become the first ever North East Wrestling Society Brtish Heavyweight Champion.

On August 26, 2011, El Ligero wrestled on the inaugural card for PCW - Preston City Wrestling. He returned to the group on 28th October to take on Noam Dar in a submission match.
El Ligero will next appear for PCW on December 3rd in a show starring Desmond Wolfe. In Ligeros match, he will compete against Kris Travis, Martin Kirby, CJ Banks, Joey Hayes and Bubblegum
