 at the end of 2002 season before finally turning to coaching full-time.

Coaching career

First discovered his passion for coaching at age 24, whilst still a professional player, when he helped train the Enid High School Boys U16 team: "he instantly realized that once he stopped playing, the only thing he wanted was to go into coaching full-time". Following an serious ankle injury ended his professional playing career while playing in the USL, by then Eddie had already gained his National B License and his path into coaching was well and truly underway.

The hallmark of Eddie’s coaching career has been his insatiable thirst for knowledge relating to anything that would improve the chances for success of the players and teams he coaches.

He also has the "A" License coaching certificates from the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) and the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). In addition he holds the KNVB International Coaching Diploma and both the Advanced National Coaching Diploma and the Director of Coaching Diploma both from the prestigious National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
