Eaton Bank School is a community comprehensive school
serving a wide catchment area covering approximately half of the town of Congleton
and surrounding areas, in Cheshire
. It was formed in 2000 after the reduction of the area's three schools to two larger schools (the previous schools being Dane Valley High School, Heathfield High School and Westlands High school]. Eaton Bank School currently has around 1,100 Students on roll. The school is noted for being a DfES designated Specialist Maths and Computing and Sixth Form College.
Eaton Bank has a high reputation for a zero tolerance attitude to bullying or inappropriate behaviour. If this happens action is taken immediately. During Eaton Bank's last Ofsted
inspection in 2006 Eaton bank was named "Outstanding and said to have High Quality Teaching". One Of Ofsteds comments Were " Both Staff and Students Are Treated With Respect And Care".
Eaton Bank is also the only secondary school in Congleton to be included in the "Top 500 Secondary Schools In The United Kingdom" and also has a high exam pass rate.
Eaton Bank has a high reputation for helping out the in the local and global community. Eaton Bank is supports the local "Schools for Gambia" charity and is currently supporting a school in The Gambia
by paying regular visits with some of their Sixth Form students with resources, as well as contributing to the school in other ways.
