 in east London. It educates 11 to 16 year olds in compulsory education and offers a wide range of GCSE subjects, BTEC National Diplomas in Sport and Digital Applications, and early entry A-level courses in Mathematics, Science and French/Spanish.

Eastlea Community School has the third lowest GCSE rate of any Newham school, with one third of leaving pupils achieving five GCSE passes in the 2007 school year.

The school is separated into 10 buildings:
  • The Benton Complex (Music, Drama, Sports)
  • The Main Block (Languages, Media Studies, Staff cafeteria, Community lounge)
  • Mathematics and Numeracy Block (Mathematics)
  • Humanities Block (Humanities)
  • Pink Block (Art)
  • Technology Block (Technology, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Woodwork, Electronics)
  • The Cafeteria
  • The Science Block (Science)
  • The Gym (Gym and the Youth Club)
  • ICT Block (ICT classrooms)


Eastlea makes sure all pupils achieve and succeed. They have received many outstanding Ofsted reports and are planned to achieve higher than usual. Eastlea is a recommended school by Mayor Boris Johnson.
