The basketball team has had a record year for back to back wins and most points in school career by a player. The baseballl team has also been known for its consistent skill and coach Dick Core. East Dubuque High School's original home was built in 1893 atop Montgomery hill overlooking the Mississippi River and the Iowa/Illinois border. The old building saw its last graduating class in 1978 when a new school was built near the Wisconsin border. The old school still stands today at 430 Sidney Street as Bell Tower Retirement Community, housing some people who attended the school as students decades earlier.

The Warriors made it to the Regional Championship last year for example. East Dubuque also got academic attention this last year when one of its students received a perfect score on his ACT.
