EUROMIL

The European Organisation of Military Associations (EUROMIL) is a politically independent, not-for-profit organisation of free, democratic associations of military personnel in Europe. It aims to represent on a European level the general, non-material, professional and social interests of active and former members of the military, their families and surviving dependents.

, a military body charged with police duties amongst the civilian population.
EUROMIL immediately opened its doors to military associations from Central and Eastern Europe. EUROMIL now comprises more than 38 associations from 26 countries representing nearly 500,000 individuals, the latest addition being from Albania. There are representative military associations in other parts of Europe which may well be eligible to join EUROMIL, but have not yet done so.
