began ordering his forces to attack civilian targets in order to force the surrender of those who opposed him. He may have also done this to provoke rebel leaders into attacking him. Two large commercial liners that held a combined total of 10,000 refugees were intercepted by the Pollux at a jump gate. The two ships tried to identify themselves as commercial liners, but the Pollux came out of the jump gate firing, and quickly destroyed the two refugee ships. Over 10,000 innocent people died in the attack.
A transport in the area managed to make a video record of this, which was smuggled out of the area. It made its way to Babylon 5. Both Commander Susan Ivanova

EAS Pollux was lost in the ensuing battle when a White Star, damaged by Polluxs forward batteries, tumbled out of control and collided head-on with the Pollux, destroying both ships.
