In July 2007 it was announced Channel 4
would be launching E4 Radio, the first of a network of channels to be broadcast on DAB radio
. The station was to be launched in spring 2009 on the Digital one mulitplex and would have been aimed at a similar demographic to its sister television channel E4.
In October 2008 Channel 4
announced that it was abandoning its plans for digital radio stations.
