Dámaso Rodríguez Martín (1945 - 1991), better known as "El Brujo" (The Warlock), was a Spanish

His first murder was the November 11, 1981 when he killed a young man who was with his girlfriend in his car in the area of El Moquinal. Dámaso was a "voyeur" who liked to watch couples when maintained intimate relationships. Then beat and sexually assaulted the girl. Then circulated to the body and the youngest to the Llano de los Viejos, where the left. The researchers asked the National Police in the area by a violent individual, who knows the mountains in search of partners. All information carried Dámaso. "El Brujo" was sentenced to 55 years in prison for murder, rape, theft of a firearm and unlawful possession of weapons. Dámaso began his escape from prison on January 24, 1991 and fled to the mountains of Anaga. He killed a young, a couple of German
hikers and another couple. A month after his escape was shot by the Guardia Civil. "El Brujo" was the most wanted criminal by the State Security Forces in Spain at that time.
After assaulting a couple that was inside of a car on the Mount of El Moquinal in Anaga, killed the man and raped the woman. Later killed a German marriage. It seems that he begged for their lives, but had no compassion. The woman was raped and strangled.
After feeling cornered by police in an abandoned house, Dámaso took his life with his shotgun. Such events hurt the celebration of the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife
