was 443.7 inhabitants per square mile (171.5/km²). There were 169 housing units at an average density of 286.2 per square mile (110.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.85% White, 0.76% African American and 0.38% Asian.
There were 117 households out of which 27.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.7% were married couples
living together, 6.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 38.5% were non-families. 32.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.24 and the average family size was 2.83.
In the town the population was spread out with 22.5% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 25.6% from 25 to 44, 25.2% from 45 to 64, and 19.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 97.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.2 males.
