(Dor × Phal). Any Phalaenopsis which has even a single occurrence of Doritis in its background is still registered as Doritaenopsis.

Doritis has since been reclassified as Phalaenopsis, and as such, both Doritis and Doritaenopsis are now defunct generic names and are botanically categorized as Phalaenopsis, although the name Doritaenopsis is still commonly used horticulturally.
