History

The first version (0.1) was released in September, 2009 . The current version (1.25) was released in November, 2011.

Features

Some of Dooble's features include encrypted browsing information, non-JavaScript file manager and FTP browser , highly-configurable proxy settings, intelligent location widget, and automatic removal of cookie information .

Dooble also integrates the distributed search engine YaCy

Development and Programming

Dooble is developed by a handful of people. External recommendations are reviewed and if accepted, applied. Each and every release undergoes a strict review process.

Future goals include bookmarks and a custom distributed search engine.
