Donnybrook is a railway station on the North East railway in the town of Donnybrook

. The station is unmanned and is located at the northern end of the Donnybrook Road level crossing. The Melbourne - Sydney standard gauge line is adjacent to the station, as is a crossing loop
.
s; Platform 1 (Southern Cross bound) has small steel shelters, while platform 2 (Seymour bound) has a small weatherboard building.
A closed signal box
is located on the down platform. All the signals and the crossover points and the signal control levers inside the signal box were removed on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th March, 2011.

. In 1882 a second platform provided but duplication in both directions was not completed for a few more years. A goods shed was erected in 1888, while the current station building dates to 1900. The last siding was abolished in 1989.
From 1998 the station was once the terminus for some V/Line
services for Craigieburn station passengers as it had a crossover between the two tracks, until Seymour services were upgraded and the suburban services were extended to Craigieburn. Boom barriers were also provided on Donnybrook Road around the same time.
Donnybrook Loop on the adjacent standard gauge line opened with the line in 1962, and is approximately 800 metres in length. It was planned for the loop to extended into a 7 kilometres long 'passing lane' as part of the Australian Rail Track Corporation
Melbourne – Sydney upgrade program, but has since been cut back to 2 kilometres in length.
