DaSH was created in October 1999 following the merger of Doncaster Healthcare NHS Trust and Scunthorpe Community Health Care NHS Trust. In April 2002 the Trust took on responsibility for the delivery of mental health services in Rotherham after Rotherham Priority Health Services NHS Trust was dissolved. The Trust underwent restructuring in June 2005 following the transfer of adult and older people’s mental health services in North and North East Lincolnshire to Primary Care Trust guardianship.
