Dionicio Loya Plancarte (a.k.a: El Tío) is one of the former leaders of the Mexican drug cartel
known as La Familia Michoacana, headquartered in the Mexican state of Michoacán. Loya was arrested by the Mexican Army in Morelia, Michoacán along with other 60 cartel members on April 18, 2009 during a religious ceremony. Plancarte, however, has since been released and is currently a leader of the La Familia offshoot known as the Knights Templar Cartel
As of November 2011, he remains at large. The Mexican government has offered a $3 million pesos (USD $2.3 million) bounty for information leading to his capture.
