tournaments on the Southern African Sunshine Tour
. It was played in 2009 at the Gary Player Country Club
in Sun City

, with a prize fund in 2008 of 1.8 million rand
. In 2011, the tournament will be played from February 17-20 at Fancourt in George in the Western Cape for the second year in a row. It will use the Montagu and Outeniqua courses as well as The Links for the first three rounds, and the final round will be played on the Montagu course. Prize money has been increased to 3 million rand
. Additionally, the winner of the event will be exempt into the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational
.
The tournament was founded in 1996, and was co-sanctioned by the European Tour
for the first two years, with enhanced prize money and fields as a result. Those first two events were won by former World Number 1
