DhiTV is the first private TV channel of the Maldives to broadcast test signal and officially launch in the Maldives. It was inaugurated on July 1, 2008 by President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom. The channel is run by Broadcasting Maldives Pvt Ltd. Since the beginning DhiTV has captured the attention of viewers, and now it's one of the most watched local channel in the Malives. Some of the shows on DhiTV includes its news, Habaruthereen, Help(IT show), Friday with Masood, Sports Extra,and Rough House. The Evince Model show, presenetd by DhiTV was the first of its kind, and was a huge success. DhiTV has completed its first season of " Golden Voice Maldives". In 2010, it will be launching Maldivian version of biggest loser "Dream Body"

Nawaal, who was at TVM before is the CE of the DhiTV. Masood, famous presentor and Manager Customer Sservices of Dhiraagu is a Director, who himsself presents DhiTVs most popular and longest running show.

Although DhiTV and DhiFM (first private radio station) are financed by Champa Mohamed Moosa and is operated in the same building, the two channels are operated sperately by two different companies.

All faces you see on DhiTv, apart from Masood, are new faces, trained by Dhitv.
