There are a total of 47 Fire Stations in the city of Detroit, including Fire Headquarters. 38 Engines Companies, 22 Ladder Companies, and 6 Squad Companies, as well as 26 Medic Units, and other special and support units operate out of these Stations in 7 Battalions, under the command of 7 Battalion Chiefs.
