. He and the Titans agreed to a six-year deal on July 31, 2010. However, with playing time incentives the contract could revert to five years. The total value of the contract is $19 million ($11 million guaranteed) and includes salaries of $320,000 in 2010, $405,000 (2011), $725,000 (2012), $1.045 million (2013), $1.365 million (2014) and $1.685 million (2015).

On October 4, 2010, the Titans placed Derrick Morgan on Injured Reserve with a torn ACL, ending his rookie season. Morgan played in four games during the 2010 season and recorded 5 total tackles and 1.5 sacks.
