and was drafted by four different teams from 1985–1987, but did not sign with any of them. He finally signed with the Chicago White Sox
after being drafted in the 1988 amateur draft. He was claimed off waivers by the Twins in 1992, and was brought up to the major-league club for about one month. The following offseason, the Twins traded Lee to the Montreal Expos
for minor-leaguer Joe Norris.
